Mareechi MiniUPS is designed for power backup of Consumer grade WiFi routers, Fiber broadband routers provided by different companies such as Airtel,Jio,BSNL,Hathway, Certain 12v models provided by ACT fibernet etc, Assuming that your broadband service provider has proper battery backup at his distribution fiber switch, when this UPS is used with your router, it will provide uninterrupted internet access on the event of power failure, depending on model of WiFi router, the ups can provide 3 to 6hrs of backup time. You can expect approximately 3 and half hour bakcup on a Nokia fiber router and 4 and half hours for a D-Link DIR-825 router. UPS is designed to be compact with internal batteries and simple to install. The UPS is designed to work with even low power adapter rated fiber routers e.g. 12v 0.5amp or 0.6amp, and you do not require you to purchase any extra high power adapter. UPS is compatible with all makes and models of Fiber routers provided by Airtel, Jio, Hathway, Nokia, Huawei, ZTE, Syrotech, Netlink etc. It is also compatible with all commonly available 12v Wi-Fi Gigabit/wireless AC routers.However please make sure that your router power rating is rated at 12v and less than 2.5a. Additional bridge DC cables required to support them are also included. The bridge cables convert the output cable to suitable matching pin on Wi-Fi router, even if they are smaller/bigger than standard cable pins. Wi-Fi N300 routers are generally rated at 9v and hence not compatible. The product comes with 1 Year warranty from the date of purchase, against manufacturing defects. The UPS is very compact at 3 x 3.3 x 1inch and just weighs 165gms. It comes with 19wh Lithium ion battery which are good for more than 3hrs backup, and up-to 6hrs backup when used with low power rated Wi-Fi routers. Typical backup time for a Fiber broadband router is around 3.5hrs. On power failure the UPS will instantly switchover to backup batteries
After receiving the UPS, please follow instructions given in the enclosed manual to install the UPS. The power button on the UPS should be kept in ‘ON’ position all the time 24/7, so that UPS is able to charge the batteries, and provide the required backup during power outages. If kept in ‘OFF’ position, UPS will not be able to supply backup power during outages.
The UPS has all required protection built-in for the batteries, such as over discharge, over charge. You can keep power button switched to ‘ON’ position 24/7. The UPS has Charge management IC which will make sure batteries are charged using different stage CC/CV/Trickle mode charging and auto cuts off charging, when batteries are full.
